  1. Soak 300 g basmati rice, 1000 ml water for soaking 20 minutes, then drain.

  1. Brown onion in oil from 40 ml neutral oil, 200 g onion, sliced, 15 g ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 cinnamon stick, 3 cardamom pods 10 minutes; add paste and whole spices 1 minute.

Rice · About 18 min

  1. Add drained rice and 500 g cooked chickpeas, 550 ml water, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp garam masala; cover and simmer on low 15–18 minutes. Rest covered 10 minutes, remove whole spices and fluff.
