Steps

- Rinse 60 ml basmati rice in the sieve.
- Put the rice and 240 ml water for soaking; discarded in the bowl.
- Soak for 20 minutes.
- Drain the rice completely.
Cook in milk · About 20 min
- Pour 1000 ml whole milk into the heavy saucepan.
- Bring the milk to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat, stirring often.
- Add the soaked rice.
- Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring from the bottom every 2–3 minutes.
- Add 6 tbsp sugar.
- Continue simmering for 10–15 minutes, stirring often.
